Woofy
Privacy commitment
Woofy was designed to preserve family memories, not to exploit your data.
Data controller
The data controller is the publisher of Woofy, established in Belgium and reachable at iamwoofyshop@gmail.com for any privacy-related question.
Data we process
Woofy may process your dog’s profile, photos and videos, journal entries, progress, health information you enter, comments and reactions. For Woofy AI, a random installation identifier is used to enforce the daily limit.
How it is used
This data is used only to provide the app’s features: journal, health follow-up, reminders, memory creation and family collaboration.
iCloud and sharing
Synchronization and collaboration use Apple iCloud and CloudKit. Shared content is accessible only to people invited by the owner.
Purchases and calendar
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit; Woofy never receives your payment details. Calendar and notification access is used only with your permission.
Your choices and rights
You can decline AI analysis, delete a dog profile, stop sharing and manage permissions in iPhone Settings. To request access, correction or deletion of data, contact iamwoofyshop@gmail.com.
Advertising and tracking
Woofy does not sell your data and does not use cross-app advertising tracking. The woofyshop.be website measures page views, clicks on links and buttons — including those leading to the App Store —, country and the referring domain. The IP address is never stored: it is used only to create a pseudonymous identifier that estimates unique visitors.
Woofy AI
Only after you agree, a reduced copy of the photo, the dog’s name and life stage, the app language, and an installation identifier are sent to our Cloudflare gateway and then to the OpenAI API. They are used to check that a dog is visible, generate a draft, and enforce the limit of three generations per day. Woofy does not store the photo in its technical quota.
AI processors and retention
Cloudflare provides the secure gateway and quota; OpenAI processes the photo and associated information to produce the draft. Content sent to the API is not used to train OpenAI models by default. OpenAI may retain security logs containing some content for up to 30 days, unless a different legal obligation applies. The response is saved in Woofy only when you choose Add.
Retention and deletion
Journal data is kept in your iCloud space for as long as the relevant profile exists. Deleting a profile in Woofy Settings removes its journal data; synchronization of that deletion across devices and invited people then depends on iCloud. You can also stop sharing at any time. For an additional deletion request, email iamwoofyshop@gmail.com.
Withdrawing consent
You can decline Woofy AI or stop using it at any time; no new photo will then be sent to Cloudflare or OpenAI. You can also change app permissions in iPhone Settings and contact us to exercise your rights.
